Just read this on Facebook from a very very reliable source

"George Eustice was on our local news tonight in Newlyn We HAVE Revoked the 1964 Unclos agreement. We are on our way to getting our own waters back."

If this is confirmed then its great news as it means the EU fleet will no longer have "grandfather" rights or access to our 6-12 mile limit

Fisheries Minister slaps down those peddling ‘soft Brexit’ fishing fears

    http://brexitcentral.com/fisheries-m...fishing-fears/

From a personal point of view I will no longer post links to "Fishing for Leave", Aaron Brown has burned so many bridges between himself and the industry that the Government/MMO/MS no longer speak to him and he is using other names to try and bypass the block, currently using Alan Hastings, If he is using a false name what else is false about his postings and should anything he posts be taken seriously any more?? Personally no and I no longer believe he is credible nor do I believe that he is helping the fishing industry at all, his posts of late have caused more problems and seem to be more an anti-Tory campaign than a pro-fishing campaign, since it is inevitable that the Tory's will be the next government it is imperative that the industry works WITH the government not try to act against it as "FFL" currently seems to be, Davie

As an independent coastal state we will be in control of our fishing waters (200 nautical miles/median line) and manage our own resources.

Great news if they hold to it

Commissioner Vella confirms opt out of the CFP goes beyond ‘mere’ treaty change

    http://www.ianduncan.org.uk/index.ph...re_treaty_chan

In March I held a robust exchange of views in the European Parliament with EU Fisheries Commissioner Karmenu Vella, on the prospect of an opt out of the Common Fisheries Policy for an independent Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon has said Scotland should have another independence referendum nearing the end the UK’s exit negotiations from the European Union, “When we are equipped with the facts we need.”

In light of this I thought it was important to confirm the EU’s position in writing, to ensure the Scottish people are “equipped with the facts”.

In my letter I asked the Commissioner to “confirm whether a new EU member state would be obliged to join the Common Fisheries Policy?”

His response confirmed that “an opt out from an exclusive competence area as the Common Fisheries Policy goes beyond mere adjustment to the Treaties that may be justified by the admission of a new Member State.”

The SNP want to pretend it could secure an opt out from the EU’s disastrous Common Fisheries Policy. It just isn't true.

See Commissioner Vella's letter attached to this page.
