'MV GRACEFUL', RICHARD IRVINE 80' PD133 - ANY INFO PLEASE...

    Hello from a new member,

We have just bought MV Graceful and will renovate her as close to original as we can. She is beautiful but in need of a LOT of tlc - does anyone know her and have any information about her history? We cannot talk to the previous owner as he abandoned her so we bought her from the boatyard (reclaim) who know very little about her. We desperately need a gearbox - MM2.5 Lister Blackstone if anyone can help? Looking forward to any responses,

    Polly + John

Gearbox could be got from the Ghent shipyard as they scrapped a lot of Scottish boats over the last few years quite a few of them had blackstone engines ( they removed the engines and gearboxes to sell on as far as I know ) contact member Ronald Ribbe and he will be able to give you information about the yard

She was built in Peterhead in 1976 by the Richard Irvin shipyard in Peterhead , Bill Wood made a model of her as built for the original skipper

    Hello Dear Davie,

Many thanks for your informative reply, we are very grateful for your help. I will contact Ronald Ribbe as suggested to see if we can source a gearbox. We have a lot of work ahead of us but she will be beautiful again! Many thanks again, Polly + John
