I worked on the prawn trawllers for ten years and in them days men were comming home with a very very good wage, but after asking around the local harbours it seems that the risk of going to sea is not worth the money anymore.
is there a point in tring to reurn to sea and does anyone know what a good deck hand could expect as a wage working in N.I
I noticed that a lot of the berths are taken by forigen nationals(and fair play to them as the younger generation dont seem to like the thoughts of hard work)
so my question is just what is the pay like in N.I and across the U.K
of course catch is important but just a genrel idea will do
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THOSE WORKING AT SEA IN 2012 MY YOUR HALL BE BUMPERS
