I've been back through the almanacs to 1890 and cant find any I'm afraid.
There must have been at least one in 1869 when the PLN's were first issued.

The Kirkcaldy Fishing Registers are at the National Archive in Edlinburgh. References CE63/11/1 through CE63/11/7 cover the period 1869 to 1921. I have an extract of the boats that were wrecked/lost and I can see KY36 (Katie [Kirkcaldy]), KY37 (Star of Hope [St Monans])and KY39 (Brothers [Largo]) so your KY31 is probably in the there somewhere...

I can't help you about KY31 but my Great-Grandad, Samuel Gillies, was the skipper of KY39 the Brothers (Largo). He, two Great-Uncles and 4 other members of the crew were lost on 30th March 1886 50 miles east of the May Island. I am busy with the family tree just now and have been for many years now. This is just one part of my research into the family.
