    Default RIP. Skipper Roger Nowell

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Roger nowell, from Newlyn who passed away on Thursday 1st July after a short illness.
Some of us knew him as "The skipper" of the F.V William Samson Stevenson on the TV series, for others he was a great fisherman with a great heart and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He will be sadly missed.
My thoughts to his family and friends.
May you Rest in Peace Roger, and fair sailing.

    Good sense of humour!

Very sad to hear, another of life's real characters goes to join "old pal up aloft" as he would have put it.
Condolenses to all his family & friends.

What a sad day, watched the "skipper" many a time as a boy and loved it, got to meet Roger in the swordfish once i got a bit older and started fishing away and he was a really nice man and a true character......

Rest in peace with old pal up aloft.....

I met him 20 odd yers ago when the Stevenson's were landing here. A nice man and a real character, he will be missed.
Seize the day, put no trust in tomorrow.
