    Hello everybody, I have a hull and a drawing of the Osprey by Sandy Cousins. I would like to build this beautiful boat but I do not know the name of the various deck machinery, for instance the long armed double plated winch at the stern, the winches on the bulwark in the bow, the big winch just astern the formast. I would be obliged if someone would name them and tell of thier function. I belong to a model boat club in the borders and we meet regularly, sailing starts in the spring. Bill

    If you post a photo of the plans i'll mark on the image what everything is and where possible i'll put up a photo of the type of equipment she would have used.

    Ok Bill i'll dig out photo's of this class of boat for you to let you see the deck layout and i'll name what the pieces of equipment are , etc. Give me 2 days.

    Thank you very much Davie these pictures are great and will help me decide what type of boat to copy in building. I have a hull and plenty od plastic sheet so will get into it asap once again many thanks Bill
