Can anyone give info. of history since being decommissioned from fishing.
Model Boats magazine recently had plans I drew of the original Spinningdale class trawlers.
Hoping you are progressing with the model 90ft MFV.
best wishes Jim Pottinger
I have some shots of Accord PD90 John.
I have a good photo of her at Aberdeen.
I am pretty sure it was the Star of Bethlehem I photographed at Southampton about 21 years ago, recognisable by the spacing of the side belting. Will post a photo.
Jim
The throttle control valve was on top, and was a small handwheel, there was also a small gypsy barrel on the outboard side which was used to hoist thye derrick fall when landing herring.
Hvide Sand I think
Cant find any boat of that name on my WD list, admittedly it is a bit sparse as apparently Walter never really kept a list, apart from in his head! Lived near his boat shed up to leaving scholl.
Pleased to see my model plan has been of some use! The photos you post includes a range of MFV's sizes fron 45ft; 61.5ft; 75ft; and 90 ft boats
If that is the one of the name FR 39 that was built at Kilkeel by J. McIntosh & Sons in 1945 as 45ft MFV 956 I have a good photo
Jim
as I drew the model plan I would be interested in seeing your model when finished, good luck, Jim

I took some photos of her in Stavanger as the Engoybuen. The owner moored her just across the road from where we lived, operated her himself and used mostly for sand dredging. He used to ebb up on a...

I concur with the thoughts of the posters re above. I have all the previous editions but was taken aback at the latest effort, fired off a E-mail to Tim Oliver pointing out my concerns on receipt...
Incidentally my late father served on a number of MFV's in Algiers and Oran in WW II. He had been on the HMS Shiant, an Isles class A/S M/S trawler for a number of years involved in landings at...
Hello John (Watcher) my plan deck layout was more of a general arrangement, as many of the boats had varied deck layouts. I have a fair number of photos of 61.5 and 75ft boats for example which...
