TARBERT Seafood Festival is taking place on July 6-7, offering visitors the opportunity to sample the culinary delights that can be created from local produce from the crystal clear waters of Loch Fyne.
Harbour Street will be taken over by many stalls operated by the local businesses and hotels showcasing the many local delicacies on offer. Some international flavour is created by Spanish lorry drivers who, for many years have transported a lot of Tarbert's produce to the Spanish markets, and who will be providing their local speciality seafood paella.

There are many cooking demonstrations and a classic cook-off held in the fisherman's market. There is a procession through the village of the floats created by local people with a variety of themes. One of the highlights is the crowing of the Seafood Festival Queen and her princesses after she has arrived in Tarbert by sea.

It is not only a celebration of our local produce but there is much to be entertained by over the weekend for both locals and visitors alike.

Traditionally Sunday on the fish quay is a great family day out, with live music and lots to entertain the kids and adults.
