View Full Version : Around a dozen firefighters battle tyre fire at Aberdeenshire harbour

Firefighters have extinguished a blaze at an Aberdeenshire harbour.

Emergency services were called to Peterhead Harbour shortly before 12.50pm on Friday.

Two fire engines along with 12 firefighters were sent to the scene where tyres were ablaze on a pier.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews had four breathing apparatus and two jets in use.

“Both appliances were from Peterhead.”

There were no casualties as a result of the fire.

Firefighters had extinguished the blaze by 1.30pm.
