A 30-foot fishing vessel the Lisa K with one person onboard had to be assisted by the Sheerness and Whitstable Lifeboats after the vessel broke down a -mile east of the Whitstable Street Buoy on Tuesday afternoon November 27.

The casualty was dragging its anchor in the northerly force 6-7 winds and two-metre swell.

Sheerness lifeboat launched at 3.15pm and arrived on scene at 3.54pm, whilst Whitstable Lifeboat launched at 3.14pm and arrived alongside the Lisa K at 3.24pm standing by the vessel until the arrival of the Sheerness Lifeboat.

Whitstable Lifeboat then transferred one of the crew from the Sheerness Lifeboat to the Lisa K and the fishing vessel was subsequently taken under tow by the Sheerness Lifeboat to Queenborough and secured at the all-tide landing at 6.21pm.
