Hi guys;
I'm researching the steam trawler "Devon" on behalf of my brother in law whose relative A.A.Taylor was Master and was lost with all hands back in January 1908.

Have some excellent detail/s from Barry Johnsons site (thank you Barry) but unfortunately no pictures of the vessel.

The vessel number was 112464, built at North Shields in 1903 (no builders name) and registered on 14th December 1903.

The Devon was a Side/beam trawler, steel; steam screw, coal burning and Ketch rigged - mainsail & mizzen.
Her length was 110.3 x 21 x 11.65dp. Tonnage was 181.39grt (46.26net)
Her engine was a T3-Cyl. 39nhp.10kts by Pollack of Sunderland 1903.

Any pics' of a similar vessel would be most appreciated.

You have a great site here, credit to admin'trs and users, you all take great care out there,

Thank you Tafvy
