G'day,

Here's a link to a story that my father, John Scott Gault wrote, of his time as Apprentice Shipwright and Shipwright at Red Funnel in the 1930s to 1950s era. The article was published in "afloat magazine"...

Everybody has fun trying to remember the correct spelling of Woolloomooloo. Too many 'o' and one 'll' and one 'l'. That is, until they learn the Mnemonic...
Sheep-toilet, Cow-toilet.
Sheep = Wool
toilet = loo
Cow = moo
toilet (again) = loo
Wool-loo-moo-loo
get it...?
har har har hehehehe:D

Hello Jimmy,

the afloat magazine is not a sale item that is sold at newsagents, ect. Rather you pick it up for free at businesses that sell marine equipment and boats. See your local ship chandler.

Hello Dave,

Thank you for your help, I will check my local Ship Chandler this week, I have a choice of two, hopefully I will get a copy from one of them.

Jimmy.
