View Full Version : Swiftwing

Can anyone help and direct me to a real boat that I can use photos of to constuct the J Pottinger plan of Swiftwing. I have constructed the hull but can not find a boat of that name as 10m boat on the photo section. The original boat is a Dennis Swires Design steel hull boat.

As far as I know Swiftwing is a ficticious name although there have been several similar boats built. That design is more beamy & bulky than the more popular Denis Swire under 10m design.
One boat of the same design as "Swiftwing" that features in several photos on this site is Endeavour - HL 42, based in Torquay, Devon.
Some photos of her are linked below.

Its Marine Modelling plans service number MAR 23255 and it was a free plan in the July 2007 edition of the magazine. The scale is 1/16 but I have scaled down to 1/20 because it really is a fat little boat and more than big enough for me at tha smaller scale. Let me know if there is anything more I can help with.
