Dave Linkie gives the previous names as SolanOB239 and Heather Anne BA130. 1981 Olsens has boat as Heather Anne 1 WK111. Same in 1974. So looks like was originally WK111, then BA130, then OB239.

The Solan is a different boat Graham from the Heather Ann,they do look very much the same but different,if you get my drift!!!!,I have saw that in Davie Linkie's book right enough, the Heather Ann ended up burnt out on a beach in Shetland, she was named Reliance, there is a picture of her on the S/N site by Ian Leask

Thanks, seanetter. You're right, I see they are both listed in 81 Olsens, so must be 2 different boats! Both built Buckie 1973.

75 Olsens lists Solan as BA130 owned John Watson, Girvan. Checked the call-sign number this time to make sure had right boat!

I remember the Solan being launched over in Buckie, she was built for Mallaig owners originaly. She would have been sister ship to the WK reg Quo Vadis which was launched after her. Worked the prawns and sprats if i mind right.
